nd July 2009 the moon will cover the sun completely and the day becomes night in the city and region of Shanghai (China). This rare celestial event will be the longest of its kind during the 21
st century.
Brought to you all over the world by AstroNative Technologies GbR and Eclipse-City Ltd. this total solar eclipse will be subject to a high resolution live webcast on the Internet.
AstroNative Technologies will setup a live webcasting station near the center line at the eclipse city site on Yangshan Island south of Shanghai. This location will experience a duration of 5 minutes and 57 seconds of the total phase between 9:37 and 9:43 local time. The transmission will cover all phases of the eclipse starting with 1
st contact at 8:24 and ending with 4
th contact at 11:03.
High quality DSLR images will be provided in a 900x600-pixel resolution, showing the progress of the eclipse LIVE at a level not yet experienced on conventional webcastings based on webcam technology. Sound will not be provided.
