News on the LIVE transmission of the total solar eclipse on 01.08.2008:
Update 16.06.2008:
Unfortunately the eclipse city flight to Novisibirsk had been cancelled. We have replanned our activities. Stephan Heinsius will be at the eclipse city camp near Jiayuguan (China). Depending on the local conditions we'll have live or near live images, at least targeting to have the first images on AstroNation on the evening of 1st August (local time). We'll keep you updated here.
Update 30.05.2008:
We plan do do our LIVE broadcast and photography from the Eclipse City camp near Novosibirsk. Stephan Heinsius from AstroNation will be on site during totality and coordinate the activities. The transmission is planned to be done via a high speed satellite uplink with image format 640x480 px. Talks to providers are ongoing.
Independently the first eclipse pictures from Novosibirsk are expected on AstroNation shortly after the eclipse, latest on 2. August.
