AstroPhoto of the Month December 2009

WERBUNG

On the last day of the year the international year of Astronomy said goodbye with a partila lunar eclipse. In most parts of central Europe bad weather avoided views to the eclipsed moon.

In Dreieich (Germany) a few minutes after maximum eclipse a nice view shoed up with the moon behind thin clouds. Before beginning of the penumbral phase moonlight showed up in front of early new year's fireworks at 18:09.
